Hey there.

You made it. You made it to another day you get to live and vibe with. There is so much left for you to do. Don’t give up. You are a leader, a reader, and maybe even a total goofball. The truth is I don’t know who you really are probably, but the one thing I do know for certain is that you’re a warrior. You have not given up yet on life. I know this because you wouldn’t be reading this otherwise. You are still going and you should be commended for this. It is no easy task. We all share our own personal ups and downs. Everyone’s had their lows, but also the highs. We must keep that in perspective at all times. It’s the yin and the yang of life.

When we come home from a long day at work instead of complaining to the first person you see about what didn’t go right instead talk about your highlight of the day. Talking about the negative just strengthens the ego. You can catch your ego in the act if you are discussing things in the past tense.

Going back to what I was saying before, you matter. You always have and you are making a difference in this world. What pains us is we know deep down we are capable of making more of a difference in most cases. That is our dream. That is our gift.

Some of us know what our gift is and others are still figuring it out. Some of us might not even think about it.

You can’t force your way into thinking about what your ultimate purpose is. It’s something you figure out slowly usually. It’s like building a puzzle. You don’t put all the pieces together in one take. No, you have to put it together piece by piece, minute by minute, second by second.

So put your life together piece by piece because I promise you there is an amazing picture on the front of the puzzle to be seen. This is the picture that represents your life’s impact. Your picture will light up the whole world. You are meant to be here and you have a gift. With this, you will heal others and inspire them to live up to their best selves.

We make this world better one puzzle piece at a time. Coming from a place of light instead of darkness. Prevent yourself from holding on to the hot coals of life and passing them to someone else. Just drop them before you spread more anger and pain. Don’t stoke your negativity and anger. Instead, light your candle and light someone else’s candle with your candle. You can do this with a warm complement or even by being vulnerable and sharing your story with them. The action of choosing to create a smile instead of a frown can positively impact someone’s mood. If you don’t believe that just think about how contagious laughter is. How many of you remember that perfect moment where just because someone else was laughing caused you to fall into deep laughter of your own despite even knowing what you’re laughing at?

We want to feel good, but feeling good takes work. It involves pushing past your darkness. You know, the stuff you hate about yourself or the things you are insecure about. By pushing past the darkness not only do we free ourselves, but we become wiser and more able to help others and make this world a brighter place.

So spread your wings and share your candle with the world. Give yourself a high-five. Take a deep breath and sink into your heart. Feel the gratitude for life and everything you’ve overcome. Be thankful for your journey. You have the power to walk it to the end. You may not be where you want in life at the moment, but you are not lost. You may just be between chapters of your life’s story. You will get there and it is not the end. No, you are still breathing and you have much more to go.
